Against Prison Politics Society

Posted on 2025/03/18 - 2025/06/05 by pandemoniumdistro

Zine PDF

“I have chosen to place myself at odds with this society. I attempt, whenever possible, to live my life on my own terms and this involves a rejection of both the state and capital. This has put me in conflict with the current social order and as such, the threat of prison is always a possibility. For those of us who refuse to submit to the rule of law, as well as for the individuals for whom it is not a choice, prison is not just a distant place. It is a necessary condition of this society that we experience every day.

My struggle against prison cannot be separated from my struggle against the totality of this society and the cages that exist all around me.”

Survival in Solitary: A manual written by & for people living in control units

Posted on 2025/03/18 by pandemoniumdistro

Zine PDF

“The federal penitentiary in Marion, Illinois, went on permanent lock down in 1983. This created the first “control unit”. Now, in addition to the federal government, some forty states have built these “maxi-maxi” prisons — representations of the angry and cruel repression that grips our country today. Human beings are put alone in a small cell with double steel doors and no window for 23 hours a day. No program, no work, no education, meals alone, and maybe one hour by oneself in a bare dog-run outside. A religious task force calls such conditions psychological pain and agony tantamount to torture. It is torture. Here, now, in the following pages, people who are captives in these cells write about what goes on and how you can survive…”

3 Positions Against Prison

Posted on 2025/03/18 - 2025/06/05 by pandemoniumdistro

Zine PDF

“The following is a brief but thorough statement on prisons and those who would contest them. It offers a broad critique of many commonly-held assumptions and positions that could characterize leftist and anarchist political practice with regard to prison and prisoners.”

12 Things to do Instead of Calling the Cops

Poster Version 2

“Calling the police often escalates situations, puts people at risk, and leads to violence. Anytime you seek help from the police, you’re inviting them into your community and putting people who may already be vulnerable into dangerous situations. Sometimes people feel that calling the police is the only way to deal with problems. But we can build trusted networks of mutual aid that allow us to better handle conflicts ourselves and move toward forms of transformative justice, while keeping police away from our neighborhoods.”

Queer Ultraviolence: A Bash Back Anthology

Spanish Reading PDF

“Through collections of essays, communiqués, narratives, images, and interviews, this anthology hopes to account for what Bash Back! was and what happened to it. We have included a number of actions, theories, and other essays that were not explicitly or implicitly related to Bash Back! as a name. In this context, if we do not recognize the actions of related tendencies and publications, then we fail to tell the complete history of Bash Back! as a network and as a tendency.”

Attacking Prisons at the Point of Production: A Brief Look at Militant Actions Against the Prison Industrial Complex

Posted on 2025/03/13 - 2025/03/18 by pandemoniumdistro

Zine PDF

“Anarchists, if they are to transform the anti-prison movement into part of the larger revolutionary process, need to start hammering away at the prisons themselves. Every prison in existence needs to be destroyed, on principle, and in preparation for Day One of the social revolution, when, as they say, the prison gates will fly open and the dragon will fly out. The purpose of this pamphlet is to take a brief, but detailed look at individuals and groups who have targeted the prison-industrial complex at the point of production, in the hopes of giving contemporary anarchists some ideas about how we could potentially be lending a lot more support to our sisters and brothers behind bars.”

The Sun Still Rises

Zine PDF

“Our own celebrations are during the night, when the shiny lights give their place to the thick darkness of delinquency and become the gasoline for the fire, the movement, the destruction. Because national unity is for the frightened, we shall never compromise with any state and any nation. Our only country is the Revolution, Violent and Subversive in its steps, bound to annihilate your old world.”

Communization: The Senile Decay of Anarchy

Posted on 2025/03/13 by pandemoniumdistro

Zine PDF

“Today’s era smells like engine oil, cheap labor, sweat and naphthalene of the morality of voluntary obedience… We do not want to be defined by the culture of techno-industrial fascism, the white uniforms of scientists, the neckties of technocrats, the eager silences of ordinary people, the stupid smiles of consumers… We do not match with the aesthetics of the glass world of flat television screens, the digital imitation of the life of social media, the display windows of lifestyle, the lens of security cameras. We do not fit in the society of captivity, the police checks of our identification papers, the supervision of security guards, the laws of the judges, the locked doors of prisons. We do not settle for the average normality dictated by morality, we don’t amuse our boredom with psychotropic drugs, we aren’t covered by the coldness of empty relations, we don’t read… Marx.”

Always Against the Tanks: Three Essays on Red Nationalism

Posted on 2025/03/13 by pandemoniumdistro

Zine PDF

“In ‘Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Tankies, But Were Afraid to Ask,’ Mike Harman uncovers the history of the term ‘tankie’ and its relationship to various strains of Marxism-Leninism. Then ‘Ending the Idealization of the Other’ draws on Su-lin Yu’s critique of Orientalism to explain why some queer people of color in North America support repression when it is committed by ‘socialist states.’ Finally, in ‘Is Genocide Denial Anti-Imperialist Now?’ Darya Rustamova confronts the fetishization of the USSR while expounding on the harm caused by those denying or minimizing genocide and war crimes.”
